Fanfara Station

Fanfara Station operates with a threefold regime: brass band, North African rhythms and pumping electro in one. Inspired by singer, woodwind-wielder and noted percussionist, Marzouk Mejri’s memories of his father’s brass band in Tunisia, the trio combines African, Middle Eastern and diaspora heritage into a dance-inducing feat. Charles Ferris adds glittering brass impros and layers the loops, while Ghiaccioli e Branzini directs dance-floor dynamics. The result: euphoric celebration of migrants and our intertwined musical heritage.
