Roumena Kalcheva is a professional with more than 10 years of experience in the field of public relations of cultural institutions in Bulgaria, event management and popularization of the activities of artists and institutions in this sector with focus on digital marketing and social media. From September 2022 she’s a PR Manager and project coordinator of the Bulgarian Music Association. She had a strong background in art critics – a PhD of the National Art Academy in Sofia with a research field in contemporary site-specific art in alternative spaces, art management and communications.
From 2008 until now she has written for different art magazines and manages her own blog for art critics. In 2011 she was awarded with the Art Critics Award of the International Foundation “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”. Member of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (2011), Union of Bulgarian Artists (2012) and the International Association of Art Critics – AICA (2019).
