Klapa Ošjak

Respected elders of klapa, the captivating polyphonic singing of the Dalmatian coast. Known as the oldest klapa choir, Klapa Ošjak have been performing the unique vocal tradition since ‘76, featuring in many films and cooperations, most recently a documentary on the genre. Hailing from Korčula, they breathe and sing the air of the beautiful island in a specific insular style: with much improvisation and narrative singing. Although several members have sadly passed, Ošjak’s sound resounds as proudly and strongly as ever. A documentary on klapa, starring the venerable choir, is screened on the day of the concert and on Saturday.
